Do the Pro V livewells drain by gravity only, or do they have a "power" drain?

What is the difference between the air intake valve and the freshwater fill valve? Does the same pump introduce fresh water and also recirculate water? When under power and moving across the lake, I get water coming into my rear livewell, and all power is off. How does that happen? It comes in at the top left.

You probably have a high-speed freshwater pick-up for the livewells.
If your system is like mine, at the top left of your rear livewell (and front livewell) there will be two pipes with threaded plugs on the ends. One of these pipes if for the through-hull fresh water pick-up system and the other is for the through-transom fill (and re-circulate) livewell function. The through-hull fresh water pick-up system incorporates a little scoop on the bottom of the hull. From this scoop (inside the hull) a "Y" hose diverts water to the front livewell and rear livewell. When running, the fish in the livewells can be supplied a fresh supply of water by this system.
If you are getting water into the livewells when running then the plugs on the livewell pipes are open (loosened) and are allowing the through-hull fresh water pick-up system to fill the livewells. To stop this tighten down the plug.
With the boat in the water, turn the livewell valves (by your console) to "fill" and turn on the power switch (by the livewell valve switch) to "manual". Poke your head into the livewell and you will see which pipe is for the through-transom fill (and re-circulate)function and which is for the through-hull fresh water pick-up system.
Hope this helps.

Freshwater pick-up...employs no pump. It employs a small scoop on the bottom of the boat to free-feed the livewell through an adjustable flow nozzel dedicated only to that scoop. You can screw the nozzel shut if you do not wnat that water coming into the livewell as you run down the lake, or river.
The "re-circulation" mode uses the same pump as "fill". When you are in "re-circ" all you are doing is recirculating water that you have already pumped into the livewell using the "fill" mode. All you are doing in "re-circ" is closeing off the valve between the pump and the intake on the transom. Now myour watr comes from the livewell feeds down to the pump...and the pump sends it back up to the livewell again and out the "poro-long" tube. Same water...just being recirculated.
I always explain this to our customers when they pick up their new rig, but there is much to cover, and folks forget some of it, and I get calls asking this same question all the time. So... don't feel like the "Lone Ranger".

that should read "PRO-LONG" tube... not poro-long...LOL
