Last April I asked for marine radio help. Well we finally got to work on it. Thanks to all who replied, esp. Hans, JKJ, and Kaz, all of your suggestions were tried and the problem was solved. The coax was shortened, and the radio shack filter installed, I was able to wire to the terminal strips so specific wires were not needed, they were tried and the result the same so I didn't have to tear the boat wire harness apart. Thanks again. Hope I don't run into any more trouble...., but if I do I'm coming here. This W.C. site is GREAT. Thanks, Doc

Doc: Glad to hear you solved the problem. Hans is a ham operator too, and the gear we have in our trucks is basicly the same as marine. We run a lot more power, normally 50 to a 100 watts, but the problems we run into are the same. Most hams have the test equiptment to determine where the problem is, so if you know a ham, call them and they are willing to help. Hans live just a few miles from me in Plymouth MN and we see each other once and a while. Glad we could help. Good luck FISHING...Kaz
