Been around loran for several years, but this is the first one I've owned. Given to me as a working unit, but hasn't gotten a signal fix since installation (I understand that the signal does "go down" fairly often...but mine hasn't found it yet). Using the 9960 chain for coverage on the east coast. I will double check the leads at the antenna base unit, but beyond that am looking for professional help. I will go GPS over the winter, but would like to get this unit up and running for this summer. Anybody with advise on what to look for, or a skilled serviceman to diagnose the problem. Tried one marine electronics store in Ocean City, MD...they were zero help (won't go back there when it does come time to buy GPS...bad attitude). Good Luck...Be Well!
