My partner just added a kicker motor (Yamaha 8hp) to his boat this weekend. It has electric start and is wired to the same battery as the 50hp Mercury main motor.
First time out, noticed that the Tach was gone and after checking the wires going to the voltage regulator it appears as they may have "melted".
Anyone ever hear of this and if so what is the cause and possibly the solution.
Any input would be appreciated.
