I know the TP175 is supposed to be alot more boat, but has anyone got experience with both that can give some good insight to justify the price difference on boats and having to increase motor size?
Have a Trophy right now but am looking at trade.

I have a TP 170CS and my dad has a Trophy 175 w/ Yammy 115 4 stroke. Man, what a difference. The Trophy 175 rides like a dream for a boat of this size, and performs very well with the 115 on it (around 40-42mph)
I prefer the TP series though...look at the options. The TP come standard with 12/24V systems, air ride seats, much better livewells and livewell systems, front guages, etc... Look closely and you will see a difference.

I have the Tournament Sport 175 with full windshield and powered by an Evinrude 150. I compared the two boats in detail and went with the Sport over the Trophy for the following reasons. The sides are much lower on the Sport and the center rod storage compartment is great, holds ten rods and is more convenient to access than side lockers. Also, in cold weather I travel with the rod storage lid up against the windshield to cut the wind. I don't know what you intend to power your boat with but the 150 Ficht pushes me around 50 mph and I am still experimenting with props.
Hope this can be of help.
