You can't beat a richter anchor. Purchased one after losing my river spike at mille lacs. This anchor holds in anything I have thrown it in and is easy to retrive. Make sure you go with about 3 feet of chain off the anchor. If I would have done so I would still have my river spike ha! ha!.

Take a look at the Pro Anchor by Guidemaster it is a better anchor and is the same price as a Richtor. The website is www.guidemasters.net.

I bought a richtor and love it to death. Ya they might be a little more money but i have a 18 foot alumicraft and i fish the mississippi river and that is the only ancor that works over there. I also have a hoker ancor that i love too. If you are fishing in sand it is ideal. It doesnt work the best in rocky arieas. Hope this helps.

I bought a Richter anchor three years ago, and it has been the only anchor to ever hold my Lund 1900 in all conditions. Great anchor. I second the chain.

I have both the Richter and a ProAnchor. I prefer the ProAnchor
as it holds better in softer bottoms. Two reverse pull-outs
instead of just one on the richter as well as the design of the
tines pretty much ensure that you will be able to retrieve
your anchor from them nasty rock biters.
