Just wondering, I've heard different theories on this.

I put 2-3 minutes till full throttle, with an exception. My V-Max 150 is propped for a 6000 max rpm. I will not exceed 5,000 to 5,500 until about 5 minutes. This is even more the case in spring and fall when water temp is low.
