Can someone tell me what to use to get Decals off my fiberglass boat. I have tried GOO GONE and that only gets the stuff that is left over after I pick the stickers off.

Try a hair dryer or a heat gun set on low to sofhten the glue and a plastic or wooden scraper.

They make an eraser type material wheel that fits in a regular drill. About 3-4 inches in diameter. Body shops use them. Takes the decals off without harming the paint. Probably get at an auto shop. I've used them, and they work quick and great!

The hair dryer method works great on ATVs. I imagine it would work as well on boats. After you get the decal off, you can remove the glue residue with mineral spirits or kerosene.

I second the hairdrier. It does the job!
Brian, you really want to break that "4000" mark, don't you?? I have to talk to Scott about giving you "double points" for recent posts ;-) !!

Yep, Hairdryer will do the trick! If it is stuborn, take some 4 or 6 lb test line and use it as a saw behind the decal after warming it up. WD40 will take off the residual glue.

Instead of 4-6# fish line, try dental floss. It has a rougher surface and will actually "cut" through better.

Just a hint, make sure your boat and decals are clean! I made the mistake of taking some trim off my truck with fishing line and I hadn't washed the truck first. Grit on the truck scratched the paint while getting the trim off. I was able to get the scratches out with compound luckily. I'd go with a heat gun verses a hair dryer.

Thanks for the tip on the dental floss. Another great idea!
I like to remove the tags on my truck also. I know it is a 2500... Makes it easier to wax and gives it a cleaner look.

now that you have the stickers off here's a trick to make putting the new ones on. mix up 1 teaspoon of liquid detergent in a pint of water in a spray bottle. spray the clean surface with it and lay the sticker on. the sticker will float on the water and not stick immediately. get the sticker positioned and squeegee out the water. allow to dry overnight and your done.
