I saw in ad in the paper for a 1988 lund bluefin...

Did lund ever make a boat called the "bluefin"? Isnt bluefin its own brand of boat? A misprint maybe?

If anyone can give me the skinny on this, I would appreciate it. I have a buddy looking at older boats.

Not that I recall, but......it is a pretty effective ad, eh?

Kind of reminds me of how in certain parts of Canada, all snowmobiles are called "Skidoos" and the clothing is called "skidoo suit" by locals. One guy asks another "what kind of skidoo do you have?" The guy answers: "Polaris" LOL.

I don't recall a Lund "Bluefin", but I could be wrong.

I have a 1988 Lund brochure and there is no mention of a "bluefin" model. I have all Lund brochures back to 1985 and have never seen a Lund boat referred to a bluefin model. I do remember some bluefin aluminum boats in the 80's here in the midwest. If I recall correctly, it seems that somewhere along the line the bluefin boats name was changed to Spectrum boats. Perhaps someone else can either confirm this or correct me on this one.
