Heading to Lake Kipawa early part of September for fishing. I have a couple of questions.

1. Is the fishing any good this time of year?

2. And what are the best lure's / baits?

Thanks

Hi Derick:

We just returned from one week fishing the north eastern arm of Lake Kipawa Saturday 7 Jul. Unfortunately for us, the weather didn't cooperate. There was a T-Storm the day before we arrived and there were 3 more T-Storms during our week. We had rain every day and record cold temperatures since 1939. Still, we managed two meals of walleye during the week and brought out 6 walleyes per person.

Although I can not speak to your question of how the fish bite in Sept, I can state that we caught more fish using leeches than worms or lures. Have a good trip! Jay
