I am looking for a 3 or 4 piece pack rod: 6'6" or 7', medium action, spinning rod. We are heading out for some small sea islands and need a good quality portable rod. If you have one you would sell or have a referral for a good one we would appreciate your help! Thanks!

Penn makes a quality Light saltwater in IM 7 which is a three piece job. Has cork grip with rubber rod butt with a nylon case. For the money its a deal around one hundred dollars. With every rod connection you tend to get more "bend" so a med heavy action may give the play you want. Lengths available were from 6ft to 7ft +. Bass Pro Shops Offshore Angler catalog should give the actual stats.

Gander has one from St. Croix. It's a 3 piece, medium action Premier series. I can't remember the length, but I'm sure it's 6'6" or 7'. It also comes with a nice travel tube.

Try the St. Croix Tidemaster Inshore series travel rods. They make 3 spinning and 3 casting models, 7' fast or moderate action, in a medium or heavy weight. All are 3 piece with carry tube. I have the moderate and fast action medium spinning rods and they are great whether on an airplane or on a backpack.
