I would like to know if lund boats are as good as some say? or are there other aluminum boats just as good?

help,
At the risk of contributing to a troll for responses, I would recommend that you try a search in the archives under "Lund". You will find thousands of responses, both good and bad about this much debated topic.
MHO is that Lund makes one of the finest aluminum walleye boats on the market (notice I said "one of the finest"). There's lots of factors that contribute to a "good" boat. Price, size, design/layout, durability, warranty... Basically how the boat fits your needs.

lund boats have a good reputation over the years. i feel they do not provide good rod storage boxes on most models. i want easy access and storage for a bunch of rods and put my own interior in my lund to get it.now very happy with the boat.

I hope so, I just ordered a 2004 Explorer 1700! My thought is that others are just as good, buy I have a Lund dealer and marine located very very close to where i live. Happy neighbors are good neighbors.

thats why you really need to go to a fishing oriented boat show. all the models will be there to see how different manufacturers do it. I have a lund and am happy. I checked around for a long time before picking the one I will keep for a long time.

I am presently on my third lund. I have had a Tyee, Pro Sport and now a 1900 Pro V LE. I believe them to be an excellent boat with excellent resale. But most importantly, get what your pocket book can afford.....
You have hit upon the secret. Having a good dealer close to you and willing to support you is far more important than the brand of boat. This criteria is primary. After that, worry about amenities, price etc.
This same good dealer should be prepared to take you for a spin on less than ideal conditions. He is the salesman, lewt him sell the product that fits your needs, you have already ascertained he can support you.
