Hopefully today the end will come to my streak of luck. It all started when I checked the tire pressure in my trailer tires, noticed the inside of one was worn though to the steel belts, fortunatly, I'm at a place that sells tires, no they don't carry Goodyear Marathons but they have Carlisle's, I have them mounted, and drive home thinking "god I'm lucky I didn't have a blowout, having just returned from a 500 mile trip. New tires meant a new alignment and that was done the following day. Two days later I take the boat to the dealer to have a worn throttle cable replaced and have the big motor checked over, the throttle cable is in, and everything is fine until they look at the main power plant, seems I'd burned out my voltage regulator and alternater, could have had a big fire, "God I'm lucky, the darned thing could of burned up. Well while they where woking on the motors I'm checking out the truck and notice a leak on the top of the radiator, so I made an appointment to have that checked out, they say no repair must replace, OK, let's do it. They pull ot the radiator and it falls into 3 pieces, I think "God I'm lucky that didn't blow while I was on the road. Next I take the boat to a mechanic to have the wheel bearings replaced ( no trouble but I'm getting a little jumpy by now) I picked up the boat after they said the job was completeted and after 2 blocks of totally safe adventuring a wheel fly's off, and races ahead of me and slams into a building, the boat, truck and trailer come to a grinding screeching halt, and there I sit in the middle of the road. The New tire has a hole in it you could throw a cat through, my bearing buddy is now a bearing bump, the wheel on the tire is totally ruined the fender on the trailer is ripped to shreds and the axle on the trailer is bent like a warped tooth pick. I say to myself "God I'm lucky I wasn't going any faster. So ther you have it....God Am I Lucky...

Yes you are Mr. Dutchman, For I have no control over what happens to you while you are down there on earth. But please try to adhere to the teachings I taught you before you left heaven and joined the rest of the faithful departed on earth. I see you have failed at a few already. But thats ok, If you are "LUCKY", I WILL HAVE MERCY ON YOU.

Your luck may be running with mine. Before I left for a 2 day drive to Minnesota, I put on a new pair of tires, and the Goodyear man sold me 2 Carlysles. Next day, I'm on fishin.com's discussion board and read a posting by a guy that's had 4 Carlysles blow out on him, and a friend of his had 2 with belt failure or something like that.
Well, they did hold up well up to the land of ten thousand lakes and back. I keep an eye on them, though, watch yours. In the mean time, I'd be talking to the guy who did your wheel bearings and forgot to put the cotter pin back in. m

Wow, and I thought it was only me that had this stuff happen to! If you keep it up I might even give up my registered 'Gilligan' handle to you! Seriously.. hope your responses down the road aren't "but it could have been worse". Hope you get up and running soon. Summer time is meant for the water not wait repair time.
