FYI - I had my 99 suburban break down this week due to a "rotten" positive battery cable (words of the mechanic). I was driving the thing in town and it kept shutting off at intersections. I could restart it and got it to a dealer after it died about 10 times in 10 blocks. The dealer mentioned he'd seen this a lot on 98 and 99 suburbans. In fact, I mentioned it to a couple of buddies with 98's and it happened to them too at approximately 60k miles like mine.
Glad I wasn't in the boonies. I had no previous warning by the way.
