Well she wouldn't run at all so we took the carb off. Had to grind thinner and bend a 10mm wrench to get at nut next to block. There were three small flecks of who knows what against the carb's wall- gasket material or sealant? Otherwise it was pretty clean and the float needle seemed to function correctly. We unscrewed the needle jet and it was plugged. Blew it out, put it back together and it started right up and purrs like a kitten. Again I have an inline filter and don't know what else to do to keep this from happening again. I did notice a drain screw on the side of the bowl and I ran the motor dry. Wonder if I should drain the bowl if I am not going to use it for several weeks or just keep running it dry and keep my fingers crossed...gilly
