View Full Version : PRO V 1900
Looking at buying a 1900 w/ 200 HP Honda or Yamaha and a 8 HP kicker this winter. I fish a lot in shallow areas, sometimes as shallow as 1.5 to 2 feet or less.
Do any of you 1900 guys have an idea as to what your boat drafts? I called Lund and they thought about 14-15 inches, but they didn't know for sure.
Thanks,
RO

I've had my 2025 with a Honda four in two feet of water and less. I was not comfortble doing so but it did. I was quite impressed.

I have that rig, and although I too have done it, I dont do it as often as when I had the 17'.
The boat is a bit harder to control due to size, so going around rocks is a bit harder, though not imposible, and I think it is a bit harder to see in front of the boat into the water if that makes sense. Maybe because you sit farther back, maybe because your up higher?

Really no absolute precise answer for that, due to possible location of weight (people) in the boat. But I have been in 2' with a 1900 Pro-V w/ 200 & kicker & all the other goodies - troll motor w/ batteries, 500 jigs, 150 crankbaits, 14 rods, 80 bottom bouncers, anchor, etc...you know "the usual load" we all seem to carry.
Engine tilted fairly high, of course.

You say you have the 2025 with the Honda?
If so what hole is your motor mounted on. Seems as if I have alot of torque. Mines on the bottom hole.
Any help would be greatly apprecitated
Thanks
