Was out the other day and my troller got mono caught in the prop. I took prop off and discovered a ton of mono which was obviously previously there. I removed the mono but the motor now doesn't work (it actually stopped right after the new mono got caught in it) . I can hear the mechanism clicking inside, but it does not work. Is there a cutoff of sometime on the motor or is the motor itself fried?

My first guess is that the mono probably ruined the seal. You could take it to a certified Minn Kota repair center or send it in and it can still be fixed.
If you hear a clicking, I would check to make sure that you realigned the prop correctly when you reinstalled it. Take the prop off in your drive way and see if the shaft is turning. Only do this for short period of time. My first guess is that the mono probably ruined the seal. You could take it to a certified Minn Kota repair center or send it in and it can still be fixed.

You could also check to see if you blew a fuse but I doubt it if you hear noise.

Thanks! I'll check it, when I finally get a chance to get out again!
