I was looking at boats today. The dealer has a Demo of the boat I'm looking for and would "knock off a few thousand". The boat looks to be in excellent shape. It has all the bells and whistles. One problem I see is that I don't need all the extras and I'm not a huge fan of the trolling motor up front.Do I live with what it has on it or keep looking? Really didn't have a lot of time to get into it with he today. Any suggestions? Thanks.
So is it really a deal if itis full of stuff you would have to de rig? Maybe. Can you sell the junk you don't want? I bet it might be real easy to get near full retail for a gently used troling motor. Then you put what you want up front. See if you can get an extra 500 to 1000 knocked off the price. BTW, be real careful about removing items and selling them now. You might find out that you needed said item and will have to buy one again later.

If it is a "dealer demo" and is cheaper with the electronics than getting the same without the electronics, I guess I do not understand the question.
Most "dealer demos" have just enough time on them to get rid of any bugs. Plus, a "dealer demo" has not been licensed nor registered and is fully warranteed because the purchaser of such is the original owner.
Hello,
I baught a Dealer Demo boat and couldn't be happier. Mine was actually a "Photo Boat" from Champion. I have owned this boat for a few years now and it has been great. The only problem I had is the rod holders were drilled into the fiber glass in a bad location for me to use. I remounted them and patched the holes. I saved a lot of money and got a great boat.
Good Luck.
I bought a demo boat with many extra's that I didn't want. It is a 2003 1900 Pro V with a 200 Yami. Holy cow!! I coulnd't be happier! All those little "extras" are things that I couldn't do without now. I saved thousands and the had the Full Warranty to boot!
Good luck,
Foz

Sometimes though the demo boat was used by a pro for some time and only a structural warranty (hull & floor) is offered. Be sure to double check on the warranty...
