Looks like another day-another disaster with the "live" leader board. I'll check Monday morning.

wish I had been in this gb mwc, fished it a couple years ago and goose egged both days. went out on sunday just for fun with my dad and a friend caught 18lbs of fish right in front of about 30 tournament boats, felt bad for those guys but I was doing something totally diferent than the rest of the pack. Had four fish for 18 by 8:45 then dropped my handheld gps in the lake and couldn't find my exact spot after that and only cought 1 more 6 pounder after that, I gave up about noon. It really sucks without gps. If anyone found a garmin 12 floating please let me know, I don't think it floats. Your welcome to take the waypoints, there are some ##### good ones. my number is 715-355-5677, ask for brett. I don't care about losing the unit, its the waypoints I'm going to miss. I never took the time to write them down on a hard copy, won't make that mistake again.

I heard they don't know who was late and by how many minutes that's why the leaderboard isn't accurate. Is this true?? How are they going to figure this out after the fact?

It's 10 a.m. Monday and it's still hard to tell who finished where at Oconto. The live leaderboard doesn't appear to reflect a lot of second-flight weights. Were all those people late? The guys who supposedly won the tournament were in the first flight and their second-day weight isn't recorded on the live leaderboard, either.
Somehow, the MWC needs to do a better job of getting results, points standings, etc., updated and made available in a prompt, efficient manner.

If you would read down you'll see there were problems with the board. And to keep things straight, WC handles information gathering for the leaderboard and we're grateful for all their hard work.

Lastly, it's Monday morning, I got home around 1 AM and thought I would sleep rather than work on MWC points. That's also why this post is a little crabby.

To expect not only complete but accurate points etc information 12 hours after the tournament is unrealistic. Not only does the information need to be created, but it must be reviewed for accuracy and then delivered to walleye central for posting. All that takes some amount of time.

Not at all. No disaster with the live leaderboard. What we have here is huge waves, late weighed fish and deductions for being late etc. I got the final, accurate print out this morning, and within an hours time it is up, complete and correct based on the MWC standings.

We have done 10 tournaments this year withjout a hitch, this tourney was the 11th It was also the first with any kind of set back. That is not an excuse, it is just fact.

We have not had any trouble with the server since moving to the new one. The trouble I eluded to was with my backup computer, not the site. If anything it is my fault, and I apologize.

However I felt it more important to be accurate, instead of fast. I hope that is apreciated. I will do better next time.

As Scott has so elequently stated, "This is your site, we just work here."

The leader board is not up to date because I don't know why. The MWC doesn't handle the leaderboard. But we do review it and certify the results. But that will take a coupld of days. In the mean time, I have faxed the final results to NoFish.

Accuracy over quickness most anyday. I talked with Ralph over the course of the tournament and I know he was working hard. Anyone who thinks computers and such work well all the time without a glitch doesn't work with computers.

Why did you have to call over teams and ask them if they were in on time if you allready knew who was late and who wasn't. The rules were stated at the meeting. You had to be inside the breakwater. It's black and white, Did you really think the teams you asked were going to tell you they were late.

Maybe you shoulda gone there then and made sure the tournament was run to your specifications!

As I stated earlier, I had a few setbacks with my home computer, there were none with the site.

The live leaderboard is accurate and complete as of this morning. As soon as I got a final printout, I verified the weights and made sure the Board was up to speed.

As I said, It was partly MY fault that the figures went up late. But once all was set up, I wanted to be sure I was accurate and now all is well.

Is or isn't it true, that teams were asked at the tournament site after the weigh-in if they were late or on time? I'm not trying to cause trouble I just want an honest answer. Thank You!
