I just recieved an X-85 for my birthday from my better half!I was wondering...for those of you who have/and use yours frequently,do you have preferred settings you like to keep yours on for the majority of the time or do you set as you go? Ive hooked it up and used it once so far and think its great, but theres so many options.Would like to get optimum performance without unknowingly loosing accuracy or clearity. Thanks Guys!!!Tight lines and bent poles to all!

When vertical jigging I run mine in manual and keep after it to max out the sensitivty, I usally have it on the depth range menu so that I can change depth when moving. Turn off the digital sonar (this gives the digital depth reading) and you will get faster updates. Mount your transducer on the side of the transom/boat you will jig from for best results. For trolling I put it back in auto mode and let it update , keeping rods/downriggers going keeps my hands full,,,hope that helps...
