How has this company been to deal with? Their prices are very competitive, although be it they are in Florida. Pros vs. Cons

Well, I have heard they are good with motors.
They have been advertizing engine parts, so I thought I would price a few things since they say there prices are great.
A water pump kit was $10 more than the dealer.
A cylinder cover gasket was a few bucks cheaper
So was an oil filter. The parts are all OEM.
I emailed back and forth asking a few basic questions. All thier answers back were short, 1 word replys.
So I then asked them how do I go about ordering these parts?
Never heard back from them.
Take that for what it's worth.

I have bought many parts now from boats.net They do offer excellent pricing on their parts. I figured out they they are truley selling most of the parts at a 50-70% discount off MSRP. I have only had to place a call into their main office a few times for help. It was a little while before they returned my call but they did. I bet that they recieve at least 50 calls a day so I can understand where they are coming from. They have always help me to the best of their ability, if they did not have an answer they went out and did the research for me. I did not mind having to place the order on-line once I was given all the information. At the prices they offer, there must be a very little profit margin for them. I have found out myself first hand that some on-line businesses will not offer any help or tech support until you have purchased their product. I personlly feel that boats.net policy for ordering parts is a very reasonable and worth while approach. In the end I am very satisfied with their policies and ordering system. Yes you may have to wait for an answer back from them but after that they will be more than happy to help you even if you choose not to purchase any parts from them. That in itself is enough said........:-)
