I have a friend who claims to be Cyber Challenged who asked me to get comments from those who use the Vantage trolling motor about its reliability, up and down actuation etc.

I've only used it for half a season, but it's been very reliable and works great. Smooth and powerful.

I have used for 2 seasons and I really like the motor. I did have to have the motor serviced once this year. The motor would not delpoy? Some switch went bad, plus the steering handle cracked (my fault). All parts and labor was covered under warranty. IMHO a great motor for trolling.

Got mine this spring and used it this season. It's a little tricky to get used to the 4:1 steering. The motor worked GREAT, and I would recomend it to anyone. I used it for back trolling so I don't as yet have an opinion on its forward trolling abilities but I'm sure they are fine. Swede
