Has anyone ever had their Lowrance GPS Module/Antenna fail. Does anyone know if the pre-amp is located in the puck or is it part of the main unit. Mine failed on Friday it was working fine then all of a sudden I got the "GPS module not found" error. Borrowed a friends puck on Saturday that one worked fine. Looks like I'll be getting a new one.

Call Lowrance, mine is their right now, module failed on my Global 2000, for about 79.99 it will be fixed verses $250 for a new one
If it is a 12 channel antenna the biggest problem I have seen is the plug connection that plugs into the back of the unit. The wire coating is very poor and will crack. I called Lowrance and they told me that they don't sell just the plug you have to buy a new antenna. I was going to cut the bad wire and put a new plug on. My unit was still working so I taped it up and also I bought a new unit and I taped it up right away so it woulg not crack there. Check the connection and see it that is the problem.............
