I FOUND A 2000 LUND EXPLORER SS WITH 50 YAMAHA 4 STROKE THIS BOAT LOOKS TO BE IN GREAT CONDITION FOR 8950 IS THIS A GOOD PRICE? ALLSO BECAUSE IT IS WINTER HERE IN MICHIGAN I CAN NOT TAKE IT OUT FOR TEST RUN I AM THINKING ABOUT JUST HAVING THE MOTOR CHECKED OUT AT A DEALER THE ONE PROBLEM IS I AM OVER 4 HRS AWAY IF THE DEALER JUST DOES A COMPRESSION CHECK AND STARTS IT UP WOULD THIS BE ENOUGH THANKS FOR ANY HELP I NEED HELP ASAP

I checked www.nada.com. It looks like the boat and motor are worth around $7800.00. That price is with no electronics, trolling motor, etc... Good luck.

With all due respect to Sandbar, I find nada's prices to be low in the real world. When I was shopping for a boat, I priced a few there and went shopping. I couldnt find any that were worth buying in the price ranges they were giving. I got more accutate info from www.boattraderonline.com

That was my experience anyway.

As far a the dealer checking the engine, have them take a good look at the lower unit as well. Maybe call a few dealers and see what they do to check them out, you may find different dealers suggest different things. Go with the one thats the most complete.

I agree with Perch. NADA gives low prices on most everything IMHO. Real world selling price is more accurate. I suspect you should be able to look up that exact boat on the web and see what people are asking. That'll give you a better idea than NADA. In the shopping I've done, I've never seen a products for the prices listed in NADA.

thanks for the input i talked him down to 8500 my bank said it was worth 10500 so im going to pick it up just hope the motor runs ok cant wait till spring now got a long wait being from the u. p. good fishing to all and to all some good bites
