Question on the X-85. Just purchased one and when looking the manual over it seems that to see the speed and temp you have to have the unit in digital mode which takes up 1/4 of the screen. Is this true or can you see the speed and temp when it's in the regular screen? I bought this unit for the bigger screen and if I have to lose 1/4 of it to see the speed and temp I'd rather return it before installation. thanks!

In your menu I think it may be under system setup there is a place to turn on the speed/temp. among other settings like cursor to move up and down to determine fish depth.

Thanks Gilligan! I put some power to it and set it in the simulator mode. From there I was able to go to the chart settings and select to turn on speed and temp. They showed up on the screen without loosing all the screen space as in the digital mode. P.S. I think you are a NY'r, I've got a place in Montrose, PA just below Binghamton and do most of my fishing on Cayuga or Owasco. I'm just taking interest in Walleye fishing and would like to try the Susq. out around Owego this fall. I've got a Penn Yan I/O now and am looking for a cheap jon boat for the river.

Shellback..Sluggo lives on the river in spring and fall and winter, cuts ice out of the launch with chainsaw to get the boat in! I am from Pa. but do all my fishing on Chautauqua and NY Erie. Come on out to the get together next month.. gonna be a blast.

Gilligan's right, I spend a lot of time on the river both in the fall and spring. Feel free to tuck my address away and check back with me! I keep pretty close tabs on what's happening down there. I'd keep looking for a smaller boat..that I/O Penn Yan might be a bit much for our stretches of the river! Good Fishing, Sluggo (Chris)
