Just curious to see if any of you are actively following the Leader Board from PWT in Sault Ste Marie?

Pete Harsh had the big bag of the tourney yesterday and it seems to me like it's all in his hands tomorrow.

Fishing has been spotty out there and the biggest bag today (LaCourse @ 14.52) was about 10 lbs smaller than the big bag yesterday. Barring any miracle bag tomorrow, I'd have to lean pretty heavily on Mr. Harsh cashing a big check again!

Hey Mark,

Well, back here in Maple Lake, we are all pulling for Pete to win. Before he left for the tournament, he was feeling pretty confident on doing very well out there. This is one of his favorite places, and he said that he learned alot about the area the last time the PWT was there. I hope that he can win it...he always says that he hates leading on the second day....so we'll see what happens.

Take Care

LAST EDITED ON Jul-19-01 AT 09:52PM (CST)[p]I just went through the standings and I think you better go back and check it again. It looks like several people still have a chance to win. You made it sound like he had a 10 pound lead. I think anyone in the top 4 can easily win if their fish come again and his slow down a little. I'm not looking for an argument. Just trying to clarify the situation for those that have not seen the standings.

I was simply looking at the top 3 and seeing that they were the only ones that have posted double digit weights for both days. Until someone proves him wrong, I still feel like Pete's the man to beat. I wasn't discrediting anyone in the field, just commenting on the smaller weights today from the field and noting that the bite has slowed over the last two days. With a bite like today's, it would take a big kicker fish to elevate someone signficantly from a position lower than 3 to overcome him. Joe & Daryl are certainly in position to win as well, but if he has a solid day again tomorrow... it's Pete's. Just my opinion.

Chief looked pretty unbeatable at the Detroit River!! He had a much larger lead going into the last day of the tournament, for what it's worth, it's all just speculation.

Fished beside the guy yesterday as an interested bystander. He not only has the pattern, he has the spot with the biggest fish in my years of experience fishing there. I've pulled at least a dozen fish over six pounds off that spot in the last two weeks, including two over ten pounds. It would take a miracle to pull in bigger fish elsewhere to overtake him. I think it's over.

Congrats to Pete Harsh. Like I said yesterday, barring a miracle bag (which Johnnie Candle almost posted) it was his to win or lose.

Control, Control, Control.... Pete's the master!

Congrats again, big guy!
