I am currently replacing the steering cable on my 20' fiberglass boat with an I/O and an alpha 1 outdrive. It currently has the old style Teleflex rack system steering with 4 turns lock-to-lock. I am considering replacing it with the Safe-T-Q system with 3 turns lock-to-lock. What are the advantages or disadvantages to these two types of steering systems other than quicker steering response with the Safe-T-Q? They are both priced the same. Thanks!
