What is the best fishing line i should use for walleyes in clear water? Meaning something that casts well and is durable yet very translucent and hard for fish to see. So basically what i am asking is....over the years what have you found out to be your favorite fishing line?

I have good luck with Trilene green low-vis over the years. I have also used excel line from Bass Pro Shops this year and I am very impressed with this line as well.
Super Silver Thread is one that's hard to beat.

I've had nothing but success with Fireline. Never had a fish break off. I do use a mono lead with some applications though.

I like 6lb trilene xl for casting for walleyes myself, if I am lindy rig drifting/trolling I use 14/6 fireline for my main line and 6-10lb vanish for my leader thats what works for me-Ripper

How do you all tie on a good leader without it coming of. I have never had any experience tying leaders. How long do you make the leader.
