Does anyone know how much deeper #1 diver's run without the rings its not listed in precision trolling book and I was wondering if it makes that much difference ????

They run deeper with the ring on. Probably about 20% deeper. Hope this helps.

I have never run them without the rings. Glue them on and leave them on. Then you know from the book where they are at. The extra 1\4 inch isn't going to scare any fish.

Thanks guys It makes sence that with the rings on they will dive deeper but someone told me they don't I'am glad to clear this up and sounds like a great idea to glue the rings on. See ya on the water " The Smalleye"
Don't feel bad. They are just complex enough to cause a lot of confusion. But once you get onto them, there is no quicker way to produce fish. I hated em when we started trying to use them.
