Have a question on the big foot model. Everything is the same on the motor just the lower unit is built heavier am i correct on this ? For the same price would ya buy a big foot over the regular model to put on a 16 foot vhull fishing boat if it were you? Thanks for your imput on the Big Foots !!!!!!!

The motor is geared different and is designed to run a larger diameter prop for like pontoons or heavy boats. You will probably loose some top end with it on a lighter 16 aluminum boat.

yes the gear ratio is different a non bigfoot gear ratio is 1.83;1 and the big foot gear ratio is 2.33;1 so how much speed do ya think a person would loose when ya are running 5500-6000 rpm. Also what kind of speed do ya think i would get out of a big foot on a 16ft Fisher pro avenger. Ya think a 60 hp 4 stroke EFI bigfoot would get it up on plane good or do ya think it would have its hands full? Thanks
