In summer of 00'I bought a 99'Alasken 20 S.S.It was rated for a 120hp motor.I wanted a 4-stroke so I was told the biggest 4 str. I could get would be a 75hp because of the weight difference.Fine,I got a 9.9 with it.Now its been a great machine all the way around,I have just been daydreaming about going a little faster.I have realized I can deal with the fumes of a 2str.,all the big motor does is get me out and back. So today I took the rig in for service and I hit them up about a trade/upgrade on the big motor.They tell me they have just bought 4 115hp/4str.04's that weigh the same as my 75??? I have looked in my owners manual specs.,no weight.I'm headed for Mercurys website next,but I assume that will only have 04'info.Wishin I was hip to W.C.back then.I have learned a TON reading stuff here. thanks!
