was hoping to have good news , but it's not in the cards! I have fished 3 tourneys since the MWC, plus many practice day's. haven't come across your rod and reel , nor has anyone i asked.
Thought i might get luckey and retrieve it for you , I thought you might be fishing the usfa on
sunday. I'll see you at winneconne!

Hi Dan,

Thanks for trying...but I think that tree monster ate it. It has since been replaced, so I'm back in business! ;-)

I will be at Winneconne this weekend...see you at the rules meeting.
Good Luck to you and your partner this weekend!

Juls,

Can you give me info on location, directions, and time of weigh-in on Sunday. I'll be traveling through area on my way back from Sturgeon Bay and would like to see the results. Thanks

Juls:

This sounds like there is a good story behind it. ;-) Care to share? How about info on the missing property and a location. I am sure the finder would be happy to return it to you...

Lund Dude,

To make a long story short...
Illinois River at Spring Valley..five minutes into the second day of the MWC...loose rod holder (not known at the time of course), and the latch not closed..turn to rig another rod... the tree monster and..Kasploosh gone! Just above the powerlines at the clam beds.

It was a brand new Copperhead baitcasting reel and a 6' St. Croix rod. I don't think that tree will burp it up though..;-) hehehe

Juls, please tell me that wasn't one of the rods you got from me! Many a nice 'eye was caught on that rod - may it rest in peace :'( Anyway, if I manage to jig it up this fall I'll let you know.

Best Regards,

FJH
