Hello all,

I have just installed my x-15mt, it came with the 2.0.0 version so I updated it to the 2.1.0 today. I so far have been able to put a few locations on the MMCard that came with the unit but I don't understand how to pull them up on the unit itself. Can someone help me out here. I am not a computer wizard and found updating the unit to the new version a very long process. I spent all day getting use to the new unit( alot better than Hummingbird). But can't seem to get the media card thing. Any and all help would be great, Thanks JJ

Also does anyone know if you can use the waypoint technologies( Lake Maps ) CD's with the Lowrance x-15 unit? Thanks to all who answer. JJ

You can't use Lake Maps, if you want contour maps you have to use Navionics Hot-Spots maps http://www.navionics.com/

If you entered waypoints (I'm assuming by saying locations you mean waypoints) on your computer and then downloaded them to the MMC card, you insert the card in the X-15 and them go to the menu and select SYSTEM SETUP then select TRANSFER MY DATA to load the waypoints into the X-15.

JJ: I have the Navionics Hot-Maps for LOTW, and they work great. As for way points, I just use the curser and locate where I want to go and hit the "Go-To", and it calculates it. I found direct route to places I hadn't been before. The X15 is a great tool when you get to know how it works. The only grip I have is you can't get a GPS speed in the split screen on the plot side. I can't understand how they missed that. When if you are downriggin you want to watch the graph and plotter to follow the same track where you marked fish. And the speed is of the most importance too, but you have to change screens to see the GPS over ground speed. When some one says "Fish on" all ##### breaks loose and if you push the wrong button, it take a programer to get back where you want to be. Maybe they will update that problem. Good luck FISHING...Kaz
