Oops spelled the subject wrong the first time.

Family an I are going to Castle Rock 7/24 to 7/29. We are staying on the East side at Castle Rock Park in Adams county south of Klein Creek.

Does anyone have any good info on the fishing in the area near the camp grounds?

Or for that matter anywhere on the flowage. We have never been there and are hungry for just about any information we can find.

What are the hot techniques, live bait rigs or trolling or cranking?

Thanks for any info you can give.

Try slip bobber fishing just off the island the other side off Castle Rock from the park and a little north. Also trolling from north end of the island towards the point to the north of the island with you favorite stick bait. Run from twelve to six feet in depth. I have had luck fishing this area in the past. There is not much on the bottom however I have done well in both areas for Walleyes and Bass. We have also caught Northern in this area. This is a trophy water for Northern.

I like under the railroad bridge or the down current side of the bridge supports and pilings. The current is very fast. Slip bobber and minnows worked for me. Caught keeper Walleye but threw them back and ate the huge Crappies that also hang out there.
