went fishig today and caught a small pike with black bumps all over never seen this before can some one help and tell me what it is
the crappie were jumping in the boat but all small

WHat you see on those northerns is called a black grub and it is harmless. I have seen fish entirely covered with them. It is mostly only skin deep, but in extreme cases there will be some black marking under the skin in the flesh.
It doesn't hurt to eat them, but it is not particularly appetizing. Once a body of water has them, it doesn't seem to ever go away.
