I would like to hear from someone who has used their sending unit. I believe its called a Gaffrig or some thing like that. Is it that much more accurate and how does it work without moving parts.

Give Mike Livorsi a call at 847-548-5900. He is the owner of Gafrig gauges and livorsi Marine. He will personally answer any questions you might have. Tell him WAZ refered you. The plant is located in Northeastern IL if anyone is interested in visiting.

I have one for sale which was custom cut to the wrong length for my tank. It is 5 3/4 " long measured from the bottom of the sealed unit to the end of the tube. Let me know if you are interested - email me at jlott1@wi.rr.com (except don't include the 1 in the e-mail address). I would sell it for 1/2 the Livorsi price. It has never been used.

Sorry, I have never actually used one so I can't answer your actual question.

Great unit and very accurate. No fuel gauge needle bounce anymore. I installed one on my Princecraft 3 years ago and installing one on my new Lund 1900 ProV IFS. I buy the standard length so I can cut it to length and calibrate it myself. IMHO much cheaper option than buying a fuel management gauge which are pretty spendy. I like the accuracy and simplicity of the Livorsi fuel sending unit- less complex and very reliable.
