Hello,

I have had numerous problems blowing fuses with my 350A when talking on my marine radio and in fact have recently "blown up" my 350A. Has anyone else had problems like this, and what can be done to solve this problem? Thanks in advance for any help....Ed

I always run mine on its own deep cycle because it takes so many watts with the gps. I think I would send it in for service if it does'nt work at all. Your radio only takes at the most 25 watts you could run that off your cranking battery with no problem. Good luck.

Chances are that your marine band radio antenna is too close to your GPS antenna. When you key your raido your overdriving the pre-amp on your GPS. From what I remember the lowrance GPS antenna/modules have the pre-amp built into the puck. Which means that you may have just smoked the anntenna/module and not the unit.

To verify it try and find someone with the same setup and see if your 350a works with their antenna. The anntena module is less expensive than having lowrance replace the 350a. If you live in the Minneapolis area send me an e-mail. I have a 350a and an extra antenna if you want to give it a shot.
