I would like to start tying my own spinner rigs. Can somebody tell me or point me in the direction of an article, preferably on the web, that shows me how to tie that knot that wraps around the shaft of a bait hook (like the pre-rigged double worm harnesses). Also I'd like to be able to tie the knot that forms the loop at the front of a pre-rigged harness. Been catching some walleyes on the Miss. river with these rigs but the mussels tear 'em up good. Thanks in advance for any input.
1) Incert tab end about 1 inch thru the eye from the top down.
2) take the long end and grab it just above the eye. Wrap it around the shaft 5-7 times working your way from the top to the bottom. Make these wraps tight and close together but dont over lap them.
3) Take the end of the long end and go thru the eye from the bottom up.
4) Pull tight.
If adding a 2nd hook incert the long end from the bottom up and hold hook exactly where you want it positioned and repeat steps 2-4. The hook will stay right where you tie it.
This is a very strong and easy knot.
I normally use 12-15lb test mono for these since I trolling my spinners with bouncers. The extra thickness adds a little bouyancy and is also a little more nick resistant.

Chad, thanks alot for your timely reply. I bought up the last of these Southbend floating worm harnesses at Walmart. They are only lasting for a few fish and the line frays or the cheap hooks were breaking off inside the occasional catfish mouth, but the walleyes were all over these rigs this past weekend. It'll be nice to build and customize my own.
