I'm in need of a new prop. Has anyone used Michigan Wheel's Ballistic props? My current prop is 141/2 x 25, and they told me I could use a 14 1/4 x 25 in their Ballistic series.
I'm happy with my current performance, but my current prop has a crack in it.
Anybody know of any others I should look at?

I am running a Piranha prop. It has replacable blades, is a super hard composite. I got after I had the original rebuilt twice. I got a Michigan Wheel for the second year, which got rebuilt once. Then I switched to the Piranha. I bought an extra set of blades, and I haven't used a one. I have a little less speed, but I am still going fast enough.
The Ballistic props represent a very good value.
They have performance figures that are equal to or near some of the best on the market. Typically, you can buy them for about 1/2 the price of many of the other stainless props on the market.
They have a high rake design, which gives excellent bow lift, very thin blades which offer low drag (at the expense of some durability) and an excellent computer aided design for the blades.
Take care
