Looking for a prop for a 200 v-max on a 619, both 2004's. Looking for a decent hole shot and to maximize top end without a jackplate, factory rigging.

Try a 22 or 23P Powertech Tro4! Its not given enough credit for how well it performs!

Jake -
I ran a Yamaha 21 Pro series (14 1/2 x 21) on my 2002 619 with a 200 VMAX HPDI. I was able to consistently get 5600 RPM's. I felt this was a good choice. My 619 was also considerably faster than most, but I religiously used Ring Free...

jake, ibought my 619 with 200hpdivmax last fall. it came from ranger with a yamaha pro 23", which spit out 5200-5300rpm and 54mph. hole shot felt slow and accelation in midrange also sluggish. dealer swapped me for yamaha pro 21", and motor wound up to 5700rpm and 58mph. hole shot and acceleration GREATLY improved, and i'm much happier with the performance and handling with this boat. great post, i hope to see more replys . happy fishin mike
gotta luv it

I'll bet 12 shad raps that the best 200 HPDI prop for a Ranger 619 is a Mercury Tempest Plus - 21 pitch when running at less than 3000' above sea level....
T Mac, what do you think of this advice?

I second the Tempest 21" pitch. Great Prop, great performance.

Ring Free is Yamaha's fuel additive that reduces carbon build-up and keeps the engine running clean - I can go over 100 hours between plug changes while using this in every tank.

hole shot was good and top end best was 57mph on gps - during the RCL at lake erie last May with full tanks of gas, full live well, 2 guys and a tournament load of tackle (all compartments full). Basically about as heavy as you can get it.

I also have the factory Yamaha 23 pitch on my 2002 619 with the straight 200 Yamaha V-max. I'm only getting about 5100-5200 RPM & about 51 MPH. That 21 pitch sounds like the way to go with this set up.
