I have a 24 volt Minnkota Auto pilot. It has started blowing fuses and the batteries don't seem to last very long. I have isolated the on board charger fron the batteries back and have charged the batteries with a portable charger then checked voltage after a few days and they stay charged. I don't believe it's a short in the wires. When I check voltage at the front 4 prong plug I get 12 volts from one prong to ground and also get 12 volts from the other prong to ground. Should'nt I get a 24 volt reading somewhere? Anyone experienced this ? Thanks
