Please list some pros and cons on some four stroke engines in the 70-80HP range for this boat. Do alot of slow trolling for walleyes and salmon. First time w/four stroke. Thanks

Suzuki makes one hec of a fine motor, and the new E Tec from Bombardier looks really promising too...

I HAVE RAN BOTH THE JOHNSON 70 HP 4/S AND THE YAMAHA 75 4/S ON THIS HULL.BOTH RUN VERY WELL,THE JOHNSON HAS AN EDGE WHEN LOOKING AT SLOW TROLL SPEEDS,YAMI RUNS BOAT AT TOP END BETTER.BOTH HAVE GREAT TILLER HANDLES.I AM GOING TO SET UP AN E-TEC THIS WEEK AND TRY IT.THE ONLY DOWN SIDE I CAN FORSEE IS THE TILLER HANDLE(SHIFT HANDLE LOCATION) WILL POST AFTER I RUN IT.--------WALLEYE GUIDE

I have a yamaha 80 on the same boat and love it. Trolls down really nice and runs and gets on plane quickly. Have fun with your shopping you made a great boat choice and you'll get alot of opinions on your motor choice here.Keep an eye on Walleye Guides posts he gets to play with all the toys.
