I heard that chevy is coming out with a new 8.0
engine in their 2001 pickup trucks. Can anyone
confirm this?

Yepper. My father-in-law is waiting for that upgrade. He has a 1999 1500 Ext cab that he pulled a camper with from MN down to LA and was very disapointed at the lack of power. Said the tranny was shifting between 4th and 3rd way too much. He said that the 1999 F150 Ford they rented did an excellent job, but since the mother-in-law does not like the Ford, he has to wait for the new motor from Chevy. You know who wears the pants there now? hehehe.
