I have a 2004 Lund 1700 Fisherman with Suzuki DF140. It came rigged with a Hustler 13-1/4 X 23 prop and motor is mounted in the top hole.(motor in lowest position) Is this a good setup to start. It will be a couple weeks before I can get it out on the water.
Thanks for any advice?

I have no experience with Suzuki engines. I do know that a 23p prop would not work if using Yamaha or Mercury engines in that horsepower vicinity on that particular boat. However, the gearing might be altogether different on a Suzuki.
Sorry I can't help.

I have the same motor on my Ranger 617. I was given that same prop to use as a loaner until the Suzuki stainless could be shipped to the dealer. It was way too much pitch - no hole shot, and RPM's were too low at full throttle. The Suzuki 14 x 20 works great - good hole shot and RPM's are close to the max rated for the 140.
