I've been fishing the lake for more than 17 years and only boated one fish over 30 inches in Millac's. I was just wondering if and how many other people have caught any walleye's over 30 inches(when and how many) I've caught alot of fish up to 29 inches but that 30 incher when it comes again will be unbelieveable. Let me know.

I have been fishing the lake for the past 10 years and have caght many (15) from 27 to 29.5, I have caught one 30.5 back in 92 they were all released. I like the fishing on Mille Lacs right now, does not bother me a bit, but then I do not make my living from it. One thing I can't understand is why do people feel the need to keep those big fish when there have been fantastic graphite mounts available for the past 10+ years.

I think they exist, but the numbers of fish over 30 in the lake are a very small percentage of the population. I just caught one that was in the 29.99" range. Really close, but not big enough to keep. Considering the food source on this lake, that fish should easily be over 30 next spring. I don't think I would have kept it anyway, but the fact of losing my privelges or paying a fine for a fish that was within a 1/16 of an inch wasn't worth it to me.
Anyway, they are there. Probably some 34's?? If I get one of those, it will be a very tough decision what to do with it(I hope I have this problem this weekend;). You're taking some good genetics from a lake when you remove one that big though. Good luck finding those hogs!!
