Where do you get Reef Runners? All this talk about them is driving me crazy.

I know you can get them at Cabelas. The guy I work with buys all his there.

Good question.
I can't get them in my area and have been using Dakotamart (sp?) for mine. I call and place the order with them. I don't have the info here at work but I can get it for you, if you want.
There may be a better way for both of us - Jim Stedke (ETT) is a factory Rep for Reef Runners (I hope this is OK Jim!). He has his own forum at - www.boatohio.com/cgi-bin/forums/dcboard.cgi. (remove the dash before the last.cgi). Scroll down to "Ask the Expert". Post the question and I'm sure he will help. I'd like to see where I can get them more conveniently, too so I'll be watching for your post. I picked up quite a few at the Cleveland Sportmans Show in the Spring but I wish it was more easily accessible.
Jim?

Hey!! Waterfowler is RIGHT! I missed that chapter. Cabela's wasn't handling them in the past and I blindly kept ordering them from Dakotamart. I see they are carrying them now SOOOOOooooooooooo there's your answer! :-) Thanks, Waterfowler!
The caution we can all give you is not to get frustrated with the tuning. It takes time to learn but once learned you'll be able to tune them faster then most cranks.

Jul's beat me to it in recommending calling Denny Braun at the Sportsman's Outpost. Denny will have or will be able to get all of the custom colors that might not be available other places.
Good Luck and make sure you take the time to TUNE the ReefRunners.

Juls,
Once again, you're right there for us! Thank you!!
I have to wonder why Reef Runner doesn't sell from their web site. There would be a great market there. However I do understand dealer relationship aspects. Catch 22.
I was going to give Suzuki the Reef Runner URL and should have for all the colors. I was focused on getting an avenue for purchase. Glad to see Cabela's handling them but, it appears, color selection is limited.
Again, thank you, Juls!

Believe me, it hurts to push cabelas. I'm a part-time employee for one of there competitors, but we don't carry reef runners. Who did you deal with at Dakotamart?? My uncle works the sporting goods dept at dakotamart. The number there is 605-224-8871, ask for sporting goods. I imagine you dealt with Chris???

One other question. Is that a decent price cabelas has???

To answer #7 post - I can't remember and I don't have the info here. The last order I placed with Dakotamart was last September. I had planned to order from them this past spring but ended up getting them at the Sportsman's Show. I'll look.
To answer #8 - Again, I don't have the info here BUT I believe I paid around $3.20 to $3.70 at the show depending on sizes and colors. Cabela's seems to be a little high. Then again, I may have paid "show prices".

I'm sure those were show prices. Most places around here have them for 5.99. I think I saw the 5.99 price in some of the places in Oh when I was down there too. I think Den and Rick might have them a little cheaper, but don't take my word on that!
Juls
I've bought some nice Reef Runner custom colors from reelbait.com.

Juls,
I made some really good purchases there. Bought the 4" dipseys for $8.00 ea if bought 3 at a time (3 for $24). Jigs, rapalas' and on and on. Dropped nearly $200 but saved, probably, $50 to $60. I will go next year as well.
Needed them any! }>
