I have a 1997 Yamamh 4-stroke 50HP - The fuel filter has a small pile of crud a the bottom and I wanted to clean it and replace the element. I can get the assembly open to get at the filter element - does anyone know how to get this open?

The filter is in that white little cylinder shaped case and it unscrews and there is a spring in there. Just unscrew it and clean the filter.......

Thanks - I got it unscrewed finally - it was really stuck and I started to think it wasn't supposed to come apart! All clean now...
