I know many people like the Richter anchors. Anybody have any comments on the ProAnchor by GuideMasters. It has a similar design.

I think the ProAnchors are one step better in design than the Richter Anchor. You can't go wrong with either one.

Just my opinion.

I have used both anchors. Advantages of the ProAnchor are as follows:
1. Will fit in all storage compartments.
2. Will not roll around in boat due to flat design.
3. Holds better due to flat flukes on anochor.
4. Always comes out of rocks easily.
This is the best anchor I have used in 30 years of fishing. It holds the way they claim. Ron Shara wrote an article on ProAnchor in early June in Mpls Tribune stating how good it was.

I own both anchors and prefer the ProAnchor. It definitely holds better in softer bottoms.

I own an 19' fiberglass walleye boat and I am wondering if I need the 18lb or 25lb proanchor. Any thoughts or recommendations? Thanks

Go with the 25 lb Pro anchor. They are only $10.00 more. Pro Anchor reccomends the 18lb up to 18 ft. boats. The 25 will just give you that much more insurance for bigger waves.

Do either one of them have a website so I could get a look at them. Need an anchor that I can use and retrieve in room sized boulders here in AZ.
Thanks,
