VERADO - Sounds awesome!

Everything I've been able to read on this exciting new motor sounds fantastic. All of the people who have experienced it firsthand all come away saying it'll blow everything else out of the water without making hardly any noise. What's everybody else's take on this? I believe production begins in a few days!

I hope it does also but for the money........I will stick with my 'conventional' 115 hp 4 Str EFI when the Verado 115 comes out.

I CANT WAIT IF THIS MOTOR DOES EVEN HALF OF WHAT THEY SAY IT DOES IT WILL BE A GREAT MOTOR. THIS CAN ONLY DO GOOD THINGS FOR MERC IF IT WORKS OUT. Sounds awesome, just like the FICHT and the Optimax did when they came out;-)

Hundreds of warranty returns later, many buyers of FICHTs and Optis came to realize that reliability is the most important performance characteristic of any outboard motor.

Whether the Verado will be reliable remains to be seen. Personally, I would not want to be a buyer in the first model year.

Is that why they are offering the big discounts on these motors? For people who are willing to take the BIG step? I'm going to go for it and blow me some ducks out of the water.
