My 2 1/2 year old Titan ST Radial 15 inchers have seen their
better days. I need to replace them before my next trip out.
Can any one give me advice as to what tire would be a good
replacement. I think I can remember someone posting some
good things about Goodyear Radials. I am running these tires
a lot carrying my 1850 Lund Tyee. I often will put over 450 miles on them in a three day weekend trip so I want something that I can depend on.
I would appreciate any advice.

Thanks

Bronco, There was a thread two weeks ago on this subject and the overwhelming concensus was to saty away from Carlisle tires, spend a few extra bucks and go with the Goodyear Marathons. By the way if you must go with the cheaper Carlisles, wait before you buy them as I have two new ones I would gladly get rid of! That's about all there is to say on this subject. Good luck

Thanks for the reply Pat. The Goodyear Marathons went on
my trailer today. I know that they should wear better than
the Titans that were original on the trailer.

Thanks

Marathons are a good choice. Have only had mine for 4 months on my new package and so far so good!

A good friend of mine had Marathons on a 27ft Sportcraft. When he was traveling down the highway about 70mph, 2 of the 4 tires shreaded. The air pressure was correct and the tires had the correct rating. He called goodyear and they said for him to send them back. Goodyears reply was that the tires were defective and offered him new tires. He said no and got his moey back. He has been running Carlisle for the last year and havn't had any problem. Since then I have ran into a couple people with a similar problem.

To John Wayne, and every one else; ALL TRAILER TIRES ARE RATED FOR 65 MPH MAX ONLY ! perhaps this is the reason for premature tire problems! I have been trailer towing for 25 years and never had a tire blow out, shred, etc. The heat buildup in trailer tires can be excessive at high speeds, especially in hot weather.
